The School of Law, Graphic Era Hill University (GEHU) has been home not only to legal education but also played a pivotal role in making conversation on the rule of law as well as law and justice.
About The Moot Court Competition
The 3rd National Moot Court competition organized by the School of Law, GEHU, is intended to boost the learning, confidence, critical thinking, communications, and research skills of mooters who are eager to develop themselves in the legal field. This moot court competition aims to teach students about court processes and decorum, provide them with experience in various positions such as counsel, and help them acquire confidence.
Mode
The competition is scheduled to be held from 16th to 18th February (online) and March 2nd to 3rd (offline) in hybrid form.
Eligibility
- The competition is open for students who are pursuing LL.B. three-year or five-year course from any law school/college/university in India recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Each team should consist of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
- There shall be 2 speakers and 1 researcher designated for each team.
Location
The offline rounds will be conducted in the university premises of Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun. The oral rounds shall be conducted online on a live video conferencing platform (GOOGLE MEET/ MS Teams/Zoom).
Registration Guidelines
- Each institution can register one team to participate in this competition. The last date for registration is 31st January 2024
- Visit the provided link below to access the registration form. Complete the form with precision, entering team details, participant names, contacts, and institution information. Ensure all required documents are uploaded accurately.
- Teams are suggested to choose a primary contact person. All the communications concerning the competition will be sent by email to the nominated contact person only. The nominated person shall be responsible for conveying all the information to the team.
- The registration fee for the competition is set at INR 3,600 exclusive of accommodation, INR 6,000 with accommodation.
- Pay the competition fee via the designated bank account. Capture a screenshot of the payment confirmation for verification purposes. All participating institutions must confirm registration by attaching the payment receipt screenshot to the Google form by 31st January 2024.
- Once registered, confirmation email acknowledging your successful registration. Information about team code that will be given to the teams.
- Stay updated with your email for competition updates, rule alterations, or any additional requirements.

- Winning team: Rs. 21000/-
- Runner’s up: Rs. 15,000/-
- Best Researcher: Rs. 12,000/-
- Best Memorial: Rs. 15,000/-
- Best Mooter: Rs. 12,000/-
Note: All participants will be awarded participation certificates.
